1. Fluff and shape your branches for a fuller look
As with any good design project, it’s important to ensure you start with a good foundation. Before you begin, make sure you take the time to fluff and shape your tree for a fuller and abundant look.
2. Add your lights
Lights should be added to your tree before the decorations, so that unsightly light wires can be hidden by the decorations. Turn lights on as you wrap them around your tree – this will help you keep track of where you are at and help visualise the end result. Start at the bottom and work your way up.
3. Add depth and dimension to your tree with a mixture of different size and style decorations and ornaments.
Neatly layout all your decorations and group by size/colour.
4. Work your way from largest to smallest ornaments/decorations
Start with the larger feature ornaments/decorations and then fill the gaps with smaller filler ornaments – this will help ensure your tree is balanced.
5. Add your tree topper
Whether you choose a star, angel or snowflake, your Christmas tree isn’t complete without the finishing touch.
